The Technical Coordination Meeting for Development Planning (Rakortekrenbang) some time ago, regarding the target for the Economic Growth Rate (LPE) of East Java Province which was agreed upon was 5.4 percent to 5.7 percent. (Thursday, April, 15th 2021)
Some things that can support the achievement of LPE are the increase in export performance driven by the increasing demand for copper cathode exports, the marine processing industry, and textiles.
For the poverty level, the agreed target is in the range of 10.47 percent to 10.76 percent. The poverty level target can be achieved by synergizing the social assistance program and updating the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), so that the program can be channeled inclusively and on target.
Meanwhile, the target for the open unemployment rate is 4.61 to 4.81 percent. The TPT figure target based on the results of the Rakortekrenbang is very optimistic compared to the Bappenas projection. The factors driving the labor supply in East Java need to be considered.
